Since joining our family’s 4th generation business 40 years ago and serving the public on the Jefferson County Board of Legislators the last 20 years, I have learned the vital ingredient of success, which is to put YOU first!
As a small business Republican I have learned the importance of giving back to our community. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Carthage Area Hospital, Development Authority of the North Country, Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce, United Way of NNY, Ives Hill Retirement Community and Rotary Club of Watertown. I am currently serving on the Carthage Federal Savings & Loan Board of Directors and Jefferson County Board of Legislators, having served the past 6 years as the Chairman of the Board and prior to that 6 years as Finance chair.
I am running for the New York State Assembly in the 116th River District to put the North Country first in Albany.
- FIRST: in public safety and supporting first responders
- FIRST: protecting your 2nd Amendment rights
- FIRST: educating your children
- FIRST: in fighting costly mandates that drive your property taxes higher
- FIRST: fighting for fiscally conservative government budgets.
- FIRST: fighting to lower taxes and keep people from leaving New York State
During my time as Chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators we have stabilized county finances, kept taxes under the tax cap, dealt with several crises that required critical leadership skills and also kept government open, accessible and public first. I have demonstrated my commitment and dedication working for you.
We are in a fight for the future of our state. It is a fight for NORTH COUNTRY values and it requires someone with Experience, someone who is READY, someone with Proven Results and someone who knows our North Country neighborhoods and knows how to build relationships.
I am asking for your support to represent you; your vote is most important to bring common sense leadership to Albany for YOU, my North Country neighbor.
Always humbly yours, Scott Gray
